How to design a hallway in a narrow space?
Stick to shallow depths (shoe cabinet 20–30 cm, console side table 25–35 cm), choose a wardrobe with sliding doors. Wall hangers and a hallway wall with a mirror will save space and visually enlarge the space. For comfortable shoe putting, add a bench with a seat height of 45–48 cm. Anchor tall elements to the wall.

How to choose a shoe rack for 2-4 people vs. a larger family?
For 2-4 people, a folding shoe rack for 12-16 pairs (shallow up to 30 cm) is enough. For families, consider a combination of a tall shoe rack + a bench with storage space. Look for ventilation holes, a washable surface and the size of the shelves for taller shoes. Folding shoe racks work well in a very narrow hallway.

Hallway bench: with storage or without?
A bench with storage space hides small items and cleaning supplies; without storage space it is more airy. Standard seat height 45–48 cm, match the length to the shoe rack/wall. Add a removable seat cushion (easy-clean cover) for comfort.

Hallway wall with mirror or separate hangers?
The wall will unite the hangers, shelves and shoe rack into one solution, the mirror will optically enlarge the space. Separate wall hangers are flexible and suitable for very narrow hallways. Mount the hangers approximately 170–175 cm for adults, 110–130 cm for children.

Hallway wardrobe: sliding vs. hinged doors?
Sliding doors save space in a narrow hallway; hinged doors offer full access to the interior of the closet. A depth of 55–60 cm is ideal for hangers; for small hallways, consider shallow cabinets of 35–45 cm with shelves and boxes.
